Here's what an elopement or micro wedding actually looks like in Perth, and how coverage differs from a full wedding day.
What Counts as an Elopement or Micro Wedding
Elopement — typically just the couple, sometimes with two witnesses. A courthouse ceremony, a lookout, or a quiet spot with just the celebrant present.
Micro wedding — roughly 2 to 30 guests. Still a real ceremony and often a small reception, just without the full guest list.
Popular Perth Locations
Kings Park lookouts, Cottesloe or City Beach at sunrise, Fremantle's laneways and rooftops, Rottnest Island, and the Swan Valley all work beautifully for a small ceremony. Public locations with larger groups or any commercial filming sometimes require a permit or booking through the local council or park authority — worth checking early so there are no surprises on the day.
