Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026 Genesis Films is a wedding and event photography and videography business based in Perth, Western Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through genesisfilms.com.au, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Contact form: your name, email address and message. These are emailed to us so we can reply to your enquiry, and we may send you an automatic confirmation.
  • Promotions: if you claim an offer, we keep your email address and the package you chose so we can honour the offer and follow up with you.
  • Chat assistant: messages you type into the chat are sent to Google's Gemini service to generate a reply. We don't save chat conversations, but please don't share sensitive information in the chat.
  • Website usage: which pages are visited, the type of device and browser, and roughly where visitors come from. This helps us understand how couples find and use our site.

Cookies

We only use optional cookies for analytics, and only if you click Accept on our cookie banner:

  • Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*): optional. Used to measure visits and how pages are used. Kept for up to 2 years. If you reject, Google Analytics stores no cookies and only receives anonymous, cookieless signals.
  • gf-consent: essential. Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. Kept for 180 days.
  • Promotion reminder (stored in your browser): essential. Stops an offer you've already claimed from showing again.

We also use Vercel Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics, which count visits without using cookies. Embedded YouTube or Vimeo videos only load, and may set their own cookies, after you press play.

You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, or clear cookies in your browser settings.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We use trusted service providers to run the website: Vercel (hosting and analytics), Sanity (content and offer records), Resend (email delivery), Google (Analytics and the Gemini chat assistant) and Ahrefs (analytics). Some of these providers store data outside Australia.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing info@genesisfilms.com.au. We'll respond within 30 days.
